The university of Bologna is one of the oldest and most appreciated universities worldwide. The main reason why the city of Bologna is called ‘la dotta’ or ‘the erudite’ in English. It’s also the most popular university in Italy and the number one university when it comes to hosting foreign students and facilitating Italian students to study abroad.

The largest department of economics in Italy
The Eu-HEM programme is hosted by the School of Economics, Management and Statistics and is run by the Department of Economics. It’s both the largest and leading economics department in Italy, ranked by the European Economics Association (EEA).
This department specializes in:
- Health economics
- Global health
- Health care finance and management
Your time in Bologna will set the base for the rest of your Eu-HEM journey.
